The most incredible Nashville wedding vendors were pulled together by the amazing Angela Proffitt of Elegant Weddings by Angela to produce this Platinum Wedding! 

I will be going into more details about the wedding and the wedding vendors that worked so hard to pull off this wedding of a lifetime for LaJuan and Alvin! You can see and feel the love that they have for each other and the care and details that each vendor put into every aspect of this celebration. We are always in awe at the level of talent that Nashville wedding vendors have to offer!!!

As wedding photographers, we are privileged to spend the most precious time with our clients, their friends and families. This past Saturday, Bill and I watched in awe as we documented pure joy and tenderness between Joanna and Mark. We heard Angels singing when Joanna’s sister’s and her mother sang during the ceremony. I am afraid I may have taken a blurry picture or two, as I could not focus through the tears I was wiping away. The chapel was filled with such beauty that day. Joanna’s family is filled with so many incredibly talented and accomplished musicians, that we were honored to be entrusted to tell their story in pictures. What a treat to be entertained by the family at the reception on stage at the Cannery Ballroom! Mark’s family were so kind hearted and were such a joy to be around. I could go on and on, but when you watch the slide show, I hope you feel the things that I have no words for…

Another reason we love being wedding photographers in Tennessee! 

This week we had the pleasure of photographing engagement photographs for our wonderful couple, Joanna and Mark, who are getting married in April! Joanna and her talented sisters of “Carter’s Chord” were back from their tour and Joanna had a little down time to focus on her wedding plans. Bill and I had a blast stepping back in time to photograph the lovebirds in downtown Leiper’s Fork. What a charming town…it was a perfect backdrop to tell the story of this adorable couple, on our way back home we stopped by Downtown Franklin to finish up the shoot  A little change of pace from our last engagement session in downtown Nashville…Enjoy the show!

We photographed the most amazing wedding in downtown Nashville Saturday. 

I just can’t think of the right words to describe Abigail and Jake’s wedding day. I just want to share some of the images we were honored to capture. We spent the day and evening with what feels like old friends… several of our past couples were guests, and many of the bridal party have been in front of our cameras before. We even met newly engaged couples and we hope to be part of their celebration too!!!

Helen Morisette was the wedding planner and we enjoyed working another incredible event together. The church was amazing and I felt humbled as we sat below the magnificent pipe organs in the balcony and listened to the most breathtaking rendition of the Lord’s prayer that I have ever heard… I do mean breathtaking…I literally had to catch my breath as the pipe organs hum silenced.

Surely  the presence of the Lord was in this place…

Wedding photography in Nashville is the best job ever!

Bill and I had the pleasure of photographing an engagement session in the cold cold cold downtown yesterday, but Abigail and Jake kept each other warm… these are our favorite sessions… a couple in love. It’s just so sweet to take it all in…true love, new beginnings.

I heard this song sung by Olivia Newton John this week… live and in person at the Ryman. Yes, I attended her concert at the urging of my dear friends Gipsy Williams and her sister Denice, and I am so glad I did. We sang along to songs from Grease and stepped back in time to our childhood where singing along to Olivia Newton John with a hairbrush and an audience made up of mostly stuffed animals and a poster or two, was a common affair… I learned much about this pop icon and how much she has done with her life to help those less fortunate and how grateful she is for all that she has in her life. This song resinated with me and brought tears to my eyes. I felt this song was the perfect soundtrack to this slideshow of this brave Marine who has found the love of his life. So with heartfelt Gratitude…
